Re-edited Student Video

In our class we were set the task to re edit a student video from last year using final cut pro. We had to listen clearly to the actual son so that we coukd make in when the artist started singing. Then we had to listen video so that we could hear when the girl in the video started singing so that we could mark it in and line up the markers so the lips were moving in time with the singing from the actual song. We did this with all the base tracks and layered them one on top of the other. At times it was really easy to do this as we could hear the girl singing clearly however other times it was almost impossible because the girl was singing so quietly that we could hardly hear her so from this we learnt that the person singing in our video really has to sing loud so its easier to mark.

After all our base tracks were layered up we then had to cut in time to the beat from shot to shot interestingly  so that the shots werent just jumping from one to the other without thought put into it. The hardest part to this was cutting in time to the beat and making sure that it actually was on the exact beat, also it was hard to stop myself from just cutting like a maniac jumping from base track to base track on every beat because this could end up making the video look tacky and over crowded.
