I have been looking at Jay Z's music videos lately. This is because I believe he is the only rapper that started from the 90's that is consistent leading to him still provide music for his fans right now. While I was watching the music videos I noticed the quality of the videos had changed over the years. For example when I looked at the "In My Lifetime" video the quality was very poor due to lack of technology in the mid 90's, however by the time he released "Hard Knock Life" in 1998 the camera quality had improved. In my vlogs I will be explaining and discussing how his videos have changed over the years in terms of camera, editing and mise en scene. I will also be exploring it in dept by looking at Laura Muley, Andrew Goodwin and Carol Vernallis' theories.
JAY Z - IN MY LIFETIME (1995)
And the reason why the nature of the video seems very simple is because he was obviously on a very low budget, and due to having more money now and being an established artist in the industry he is able to have high budget videos that reflect on his lavish lifestyle. For example "Roc Boys".

JAY Z - ROC BOYS (AND THE WINNER IS)... (2007)
