MEEK MILL - HOUSE PARTY:
Meek Mill is an American hip hop recording artist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group in February 2011.
The video is based around a house party, hence the title. They're having fun in the video and certain clips of the party would suit our video. Having the party scene as a video that was previously recorded would look good as we would be showing an honest picture of us or the people in the clip having fun. Some parts are shown in slow motion. The video also follows Laura Muleys theory of the male gaze throughout the video as it is a traditional Hip Hop music video. It is more of a illustration video.
Camera:
There are mainly mid shots and medium close ups throughout the video. I think this is good as it shows the nature of the video clearly. I think this was also done to show the cameos in the videos such as rappers Rick Ross, Ace Hood ect. There are also many cutaways throughout the video to show that there are loads of people in it. For example, when the girls in the green and pink leggings are dancing and there are people as well as the artist featured around them.
Editing:
The edits are fast so they suit the beat of the song. Slow motion is used at many points to show the women dancing.
Mise En Scene:
Cameos, a house as it is a house party, balloons. Many of the men wore dark clothing in the video and the women wore bright clothing. I think this was done to symbolise the women being the objects and the men being dominant.
CHRIS BROWN - BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE:
Chris Brown is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia. In 2004, he signed with Jive Records, and released his self-titled debut album the following year.

Camera;
Breaks 180 degree rule,. There are a range of mid shots, medium close up. In our video we'll use alot of these kind of shots to show the clothing and the type of environment. The wide shots were mainly used in the scene with him and his friends on their scooters.
Editing:
The edits are not that fast. This gives the audience a chance to see the scenes clearly and they can take it in.
Mise En Scene:
Clothing was very casual, nothing fancy at all. And that is the type of clothing we will use.
HIT-BOY - JAY Z INTERVIEW
Hit-Boy is an American Grammy Award Nominated hip-hop, R&B producer and rapper currently signed to GOOD Music. Born Chauncey Hollis, on May 21, 1987 in Fontana, California.
This video has defiantly influenced the planning stage. We are most likely to display aspects of intertextuality from these videos as they display a calm and realistic. It also has several basetracks.
Camera:
Use of candid footage, mid shots/medium close ups are used mainly to capture everyone in this video.
Editing:
Was fast and matched the beat of the song. Around every 4 beats the edits were faster. The editing also got faster at the end.
Mise En Scene: Again there was casual clothing in this video as well. And we will has casual wear in our video too. There was a studio used.
