Research: Disjuncture Example

A good example of a music video that shows Disjuncture is Stress by Justice. In this video (which is based on a gang’s criminal activity whilst roaming through the streets of France, we are taken through a “typical” day in the life of this gang. This music video shows Disjuncture as there are no lyrics and the anger and hate that is shown in this music video is not representative of that of the song.

I think this is a brilliant music video as there is a lot of establish shots and build up to the action.  There are a lot of shots that show the boys faces to emphasize on their facial expressions and emotions or lack of it. There are a lot of different camera angles used and I particularly like the way in which the music video ends as it gives the feeling that it is real and it is actually happening rather than it being a music video.
