Research: Music Industry

At the moment the music industry is not in a good state as there is an increase in illegal downloading and the music industry is trying to find new ways to make money. At the moment the music industry have come up with 360degree deals and sales of accessories directly involved with music (such as dr dre beats) have been rapidly increasing. In the music industry the use of music videos is increasing as it is a way to promote the artists music perhaps help with the sales of other music related products such as tours, headphones and speakers. Aswell as this there was once the Big four although now there is only the Big 3 as EMI got taken over by Sony and Universal. This means that alot of artists will be signed to the Big 3 and they have alot of control over the state of the music industry.
